Tammy is a Traverse City Native born right here at Munson. She is very excited to be a CNM in her community and looking forward to educating, empowering, and building strong relationships with patients and their families. Tammy received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing in 1998 at Lake Superior State University and her Master of Science in Nursing with Advanced Midwifery at Frontier Nursing University in 2022. She has worked as a Nurse for 26 years and the majority of those have been caring for women in pregnancy, and birth here at Munson. She started her nursing career at Henry Ford Hospital in Detroit, and in her early years was a travel nurse. She started her midwifery career at MyMichigan Health in Midland, MI. She truly has a passion for her work in caring for women. She lives downtown with her husband Don, two children and two cats Millie and Hazel. Her son Drew is a high schooler at TC West and her daughter Lily will be a Freshman at Michigan State University in the Fall of 2024. She enjoys beaches, nature, yoga, traveling, and loves a good adventure with her family and friends.
